I’m a very curious person, I was always asking my parents questions about everything (I think they found this a bit challenging at times)! I really enjoy understanding how things work, and solving problems. Science is the perfect environment for that, if you’re curious about something, you can try and find out the answer! And every day you learn new skills and new facts about how things work!

Asking questions about everything and not taking anything for granted. And believe me, it extends out of your work into your everyday life. Not a bad thing, especially when a TV ad is trying to sell you a ‘new and improved’ washing powder…and you think…well is it new, or is it improved?…It can’t be both!

Being able to figure stuff out and answer some of those ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions that everyone has!
